Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Need for orthognathic surgery (Index of orthognathic functional treatment need \>4\)
  • •\- skeletal class III or skeletal class II
  • •\- Braces in situ on both investigation time points T0 and T1
  • •\- \>24 teeth in situ
  • •\- adult patient (\> 18 years old)
  • •\- ASA class 1 or 2

Exclusion Criteria

  • •\- cleft lip and/or palate
  • •\- impaired facial motion
  • •\- excessive facial hair
  • •\- positive history of orthognathic surgery
  • •\- excessive facial asymmetry (menton deviation \> 4mm)
