A case will be defined as a person with acute febrile illness with headache, myalgia and associated
with history of exposure to infected animals or an environment contaminated with animal urine with
one or more of the following [as per WHO guideline] [4]
1-calf muscle tenderness
2- conjuctival suffusion
3-anuria or oligouria and/or protienuria
4- Jaundice
5-Hemorrhagic manifestations
6- Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Diarrheoa.
All known patients with suspected leptospirosis, who were also positive for
acute febrile illness like malaria, typhoid, dengue, brucella, viral hepatitis, ricketssiae.

Name Time Method 1) To study & analyse the clinical profile of leptospirosis <br/ ><br>2) To study the diagnostic yield of leptospira PCR & IgM ELISA compared to seroconversion of IgM <br/ ><br>and IgG at NCDC referral laboratory as confirmatory test.Timepoint: 1st week and 2nd week
