1.Osteopenic patients of all the genders diagnosed
by Bone Mineral density Test
2.Patient presenting with Clinical features of
Asthikshaya.
3.Patients complaining of symptoms like joint
pain,backache, pain in the bones which will be
confirmed later by BMD test
Patient with Rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis and long-standing systemic disorders were excluded.
Patients having diabetes mellitus, uncontrolled hypertension, thyrotoxicosis, hyperparathyroidism, hypoparathyroidism, tuberculosis of bone, Paget’s disease, osteomalacia, chronic renal disease, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism.
Pregnant and lactating woman.
Patient under any drug which is known to affect bone metabolism SERMs, Bisphosphates, calcitonin, Vitamin-D and corticosteroids for more than 3 months.
