1. Trauma patients requiring surgery within 72 hours
2. Who consent to participate in the study
1. Failure to give consent.
2. Obese persons i.e Body Mass Index (BMI) over 40 Kg/m2
3. Diabetic patients
4. Patients unable to turn and lie in lateral position due to any reason
5. Patients with an orogastric illness which could affect the results (i.e Cancer of the stomach,
History of Previous Gastric Surgeries)
6. Chronic Kidney Disease
7. Gastric Pathology
8. Pregnancy
9. Head injury
10. Nasogastric tube in situ
11. Abdominal trauma
12. Opioid user

Name Time Method To estimate the incidence of the full stomach on gastric ultrasonography in trauma patients scheduled for surgery.Timepoint: Only once in the preoperative area before shifting the patient to the operation theater. 15 March 15 April 15 May
