Inclusion Criteria
1. belonging to ASA I and II
2. posted for elective surgery
3. fasted overnight
Exclusion Criteria
1. who refuse to participate in the study
2. children with gastro-intestinal disease (GERD, Hiatus hernia, gastritis)
3.any major co-existing medical or congenital disorder
4. undergoing emergency surgery
5.violation of fasting timed
6. Refusing to drink clear fluid according to protocol

Name Time Method To compare gastric emptying time after giving 5ml/kg or 7ml/kg of clear fluid to overnight fasted child.Timepoint: Baseline, 5mins, 10mins,15mins,20mins,25mins,30mins,35mins,40mins,45mins,5mins,55mins,60mins

To compare post-operative satisfaction of parents and childrenTimepoint: All the secondary outcomes are assessed for 24hrs immediate postop on four-point scale for nausea and vomiting, three-point scale for both irritability and parent satisfaction.
