Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. All patients undergoing routine elective thoracic surgery especially open thoracotomy procedure with patient\-controlled analgesia (PCA) and epipleural insertion
- •2\. Provision of written informed consent
- •3\. Aged 18 years or over
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients who are having epidural anaesthesia
- •2\. Patients undergoing emergency operation
- •3\. Refusal to take part in the study
