All consenting patients with the diagnosis of cancer, aged 18 and above, who underwent CT scan of the abdomen, were considered as candidates for the study.
Patients who are unable to perform the handgrip muscle strength test (by Jamar handheld dynamometer), pregnant, have unilateral or bilateral lower limb deformity (due to trauma or congenital disease), or those who are unable to bend the knee to 90 degrees, were excluded.
