Inclusion Criteria
Patients with L4-5 lumbar disc herniation
Failed conservative treatment
Central or paracentral type of disc herniation (type that can do in both techniques)
Exclusion Criteria
Foraminal or extraforaminal disc
Migration of the disc that cannot undergo surgery by transforaminal approach
Spinal canal stenosis from degenerative change.
Spondylolisthesis
Change of plan intraoperatively from endoscopic surgery to open surgery
