Inclusion Criteria
1. Hospitalized adult patients in general medicine ward who have been receiving intravenous or oral antimicrobial therapy within 48 hours
2. No prior use of antimicrobial agents or discontinuation of any antimicrobial agents at least 4 weeks before study enrolment
Exclusion Criteria
1. Hospitalized adult patients in general medicine ward who have been receiving intravenous or oral antimicrobial therapy more than 48 hours
2. Patients with neutropenia
