Inclusion Criteria -
All the pregnant women admitted in obstetric ward who are planned for induction of labour and in which delivery can be waited for > 24 hours with ?
1.Maternal age group between 18-40 years of age.
2.Parity less than or equal to 2.
3.Singleton pregnancy.
4. Vertex presentation.
5.Gestational age between 34 to 42 weeks.
6.Pre-induction Bishop’s score less than 4. (according to modified Bishops score)
7.With intact membranes.
8.Patients with reassuring NST.
9.Willing to participate for study.
Exclusion Criteria –
1.Women with known hypersensitivity reaction to mifepristone and prostaglandins.
2.Women with contraindications for labour induction.
a.Women with ante partum haemorrhage.
b.Women with cephalopelvic disproportion.
c.Estimated fetal weight > 4 kg.
3.Medical problems like known case of impaired renal and hepatic functions.
4.Refusal by consultant incharge of the patient or patient herself to participate in study.
