- •1.Adult patients in age group 18-80 yr
- •2.ASA grade I,II, III
- •3.Open abdominal surgeries- gastrectomy, radical cholecystectomy, Whippleâ??s, exploratory laparotomy, anterior resection, abdominoperineal resection, colectomy, interval cytoreduction, hysterectomy, radical cystectomy and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND)

- •1.Refusal of consent
- •2.Paediatric patient ( 18yrs)
- •3.Laparoscopic surgery
- •4.Hepatectomy.
- •5.Patients requiring postoperative ventilation beyond the day of surgery.
- •6.Patients with cognitive impairment
- •7.Patients with drug intolerance
- •8.Illiterate patients those who cannot read Hindi English and Marathi
