1.Adult patients in age group 18-80 yr
2.ASA grade I,II, III
3.Open abdominal surgeries- gastrectomy, radical cholecystectomy, Whippleâ??s, exploratory laparotomy, anterior resection, abdominoperineal resection, colectomy, interval cytoreduction, hysterectomy, radical cystectomy and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND)
1.Refusal of consent
2.Paediatric patient ( 18yrs)
3.Laparoscopic surgery
4.Hepatectomy.
5.Patients requiring postoperative ventilation beyond the day of surgery.
6.Patients with cognitive impairment
7.Patients with drug intolerance
8.Illiterate patients those who cannot read Hindi English and Marathi
