Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1] Primi and multigravida
  • •2] Full term singleton pregnancy with established labour pain
  • •3] Vertex presentation
  • •4] Patient with active phase of labour

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1] Scarred uterus
  • •2] Foetal demise
  • •3] Foetal distress
  • •4] Multiple pregnancy
  • •5] Malpresentations
  • •6] Cephalopelvic disproportions
  • •7] Medical complications like heart disease, diabetes mellitus, asthma, myasthenia gravis, glaucoma psychotic illness or epilepsy
