1. Post-traumatic stress disorder (ICD F43.1) as the primary psychiatric diagnosis (PTSD syndrome as the main complaint) with at least 45 points in the PCL questionnaire - diagnosis is confirmed with the PCL questionnaire
2. Women and men aged 18 to 65
3. Comorbidities such as depression may be present, but must not be the main morbidity.
1. Mild PTSD with other psychiatric illnesses such as depression in the foreground
2. Resting heart rate> 100 / min with three measurements
3. The physical suitability of the test persons is determined by a clinical examination by an investigator. Important exclusion criteria are in particular:
Absolute exclusion criteria for patients
-Untreated high blood pressure with values ??above 160/100 mmHg
-Heart attack less than half a year ago
-Decompensated diseases of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems
-Peripheral circulatory disorders
-Instable angina pectoris
-Pacemaker
-Expired venous thrombosis
-Acute phlebitis
-Acute respiratory diseases
-Acute kidney / urinary tract diseases
-Severe anemia
-Seizure disorders
-Pregnancy
Relative contraindications
- Cardiac arrhythmias
- Valvular heart failure
-Condition after heart surgery
-Ischemic heart disease
-Raynaud syndrome
-Polyneuropathies
-Vasculitis (inflammation of the blood vessels)
4. Lack of written consent.
5. No or insufficient knowledge of the German language, which makes active participation in the study impossible.
