Inclusion Criteria

-patients aged between 18 and 90 years; -FE<40% tested by ECOcardio; heart failure ongoing from at least 6 months; - NYHA class II-III; -adequate medical therapy from at least 2 months;-anomalies in fasting value of glycaemia registered at baseline (>105 mg/dl).
