All Patient must be 18 years or old of either sex and scheduled to undergo elective noncardiac surgery (with exception of cataract and plastic surgeries) under general or regional anaesthesia with scheduled stay in hospital for at least one day
pregnancy, active cardiac conditions, emergency surgeries, low risk surgeries (superficial surgery under Local anesthesia, cataract surgery and plastic surgery) and absolute contraindication to 6MWT. Absolute contraindication to 6MWT are Unstable angina or myocardial infarction during the previous month and relative contraindication include a resting heart rate of > 120/min and systolic blood pressure > 180 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 100 mm Hg.

Name Time Method To compare CPET with other methods of functional assessment to predict all cause death or nonfatal morbidity within 90 days after surgery.Timepoint: 3 year
