Participants having tenderness of inferior region of heel and at least two of the clinical presentations given below
1 Morning rise of pain in the plantar aspect of heel
2 Pain in plantar aspect of heel while walking
3 Pain in plantar aspect of heel on initial steps after a period of inactivity
4 Positive windlass test
Participants with gout, pes planus, pes cavus, calcaneal stress fracture, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus (FBS =126 mg/dl), Charcot foot, rheumatoid arthritis, those under any medication for plantar fasciitis, those having a BMI greater than or equal to 30, and those who have taken corticosteroid injections to the heel in the preceding 3 months, as well as pregnant and lactating mothers, are excluded.
