Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
The MSEP are derived after achieving stable anesthesia with stable vital parameters with a different number (N) of averaging steps.
First, five output measurements are performed with 200 averaging steps (n = 200), whereby the deviation of the individual measurements may not be more than 20% of the initial value. Then n is halved and averaged twice. If the curve can be reproduced (deviation of the measurements no more than 20%), N is halved again and the measurement is repeated twice until the curve can no longer be reproduced. Then n is incremented by half the distance to the last averaging number and measured again twice until the curve is reproducible. Then another three measurements are made to ensure that a deviation of less than 20% occurs even with the reduced number of N of averaging steps. If this is not the case, the averaging number is increased again to half of the distance to the last averaging and the five measurements are repeated.
