Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Patient diagnosed with chronic periodontitis with localized pocket \>\= 5 \-7
  • •mm in at least one or both sides of the arches
  • •Patients age between 30 to 55 years
  • •Patient with at least 20 natural teeth within both jaws
  • •Patients willing to participate in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Allergy to chlorhexidine
  • •Patients with known systemic disease
  • •Patients on antibiotic treatment in the preceding 3 months
  • •Patients receiving treatment with any antibiotics known to affect the
  • •periodontal health
  • •Patient with aggressive periodontitis
  • •Pregnant females
  • •Patients receiving periodontal treatment within the preceding 3 months
