This cross-sectional study compares and evaluates sarcopenia, mental health, and social support in working and non-working older persons. Following informed consent, eligible participants from both groups will be assessed using standardised methods. Sarcopenia will be evaluated by assessing hand grip strength with a hand dynamometer to identify muscular strength, calf circumference with an inch tape to estimate muscle mass, and the SARC-F questionnaire to screen for sarcopenia. Mental health will be assessed using the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-15) for depressive symptoms and the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) for cognitive function. Social support will be assessed using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS).The study’s findings will include a comparison of sarcopenia levels, mental health status, and perceived social support among working and nonworking older persons.

- •The study will include older adults aged between 60 to 70 years who are stable to answer the questions, only those who are willing to participate and provide consent.
排除标准
- •the individuals who has undergone major surgeries, condition that affects mobility, any neurological disorders and the individuals who are severely cognitive impaired and the individuals who are not willing to provide consent will be excluded from the study.
