Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •All neonates undergoing major surgeries (thoracic, abdominal or genitourinary ) in the department of paediatric surgery/ department of neonatology will be included

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Infants \> 30 days at time of surgery.
  • •Neonates undergoing surgery for cardiac, thoracic, orthopaedic or neurological disorders.
  • •Neonates undergoing EYE or ENT procedures.
  • •Neonates undergoing minor surgical procedures.
  • •failure to obtain consent.
