**SUMMARY**

Thepresent study entitled “Effectiveness of a Structured Education Program onMenstrual Hygiene, Knowledge, Attitude and Practice among High School Girls ofUrban and Rural areas of Belagaviâ€

**1. Introduction**

It includesbrief views of concepts of Rajaswalaparicharya, menstrual hygiene, menstrualdisorders and the need for the study

**2.  Review of literature**

The literaryreview includes Historical review, Anatomy of external genital organs,conceptual review of Rajaswalaparicharya, menstruation, menstrual cycle,menstrual hygiene, and menstrual hygiene management

Historicalreview- Explains about Artava and its various historical aspects of andreferences of Rajaswalaparicharya and menstrual hygiene evolution.

Anatomy ofexternal genital organs- Explanation about both Ayurvedic and modern view ofexternal genital organs.

Conceptualreview- the conceptual review includes brief explanations about menstrualhygiene.

Review of Rajaswalaparicharya-it contains explanation about Rajaswalaparicharya mentioned in classics.

Menstruation-deals with explanation about menstruation and physiology of menstrualcycle.

Menstrualhygiene- various aspects of menstrual hygiene, menstrual hygiene    management and menstrual hygiene day wereexplained.

**3. Methodology**- The third part comprises ofmethodology of the present study which was carried out on 600 subjects ofadolescent age group. This covers of materials and method, study design, inclusioncriteria, exclusion criteria and consort chart.

**4. Observationand results** – observationdeals with the tabular representation, which are documented both in number andpercentages. The study results were accessed with appropriate statistical methodsand represented with graphs and chart.

**5. Discussion**

This part dealswith discussion on literary part, observation and results.

**6. Conclusion**

Conclusion dealswith the conclusions drawn on observations made in the study and the results.

Exclusion Criteria

Cognitive impairment, Congenital deformities Not willing to participate in the study.
