Inclusion criteria (all criteria must be met):
1.Patients will be diagnosed as having PCOS according to the Rotterdam criteria for diagnosis of PCOS.26
2.All patients would have previously received CC 100 mg daily for 5 days per cycle and would have shown no response to this dose.
3.Semen analysis for their partners would have been evaluated according to the modified criteria of World Health Organization (2010) and found normal.
4.Age between 18 and 39 years.
5.Period of infertility >1 year.
1.Patients with hyperprolactinaemia, hypercortisolism, diabetes mellitus and thyroid dysfunction.
2.Patients receiving medications such as cholesterol-lowering drugs, beta-blockers and tricyclic antidepressants will also be excluded.
3.History of pelvic surgery or infertility factor other than anovulation.
