Health Condition 1: null- Patient diagnosed with CKD on maintainance hemodialysis with Arteriovenous fistula.Patient who conscious.Patients who dont have any allergies to cold therapy and EMLa cream.

Inclusion Criteria

1. CKD patients above 18years undergoing hemodialysis via AVF at Nehru Hospital.

2. Patients with matured AVF in their forearm.

3. Patient Willing to participate.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Contraindications to cold application such as radiation therapy, peripheral vascular disease, connective tissue disorders, diabetic neuropathy.

2. Patient with altered level of consciousness

3. Patient on concomititant use of analgesics within 4-6 hrs prior to hemodialysis.

4. Patient who have pain from other reasons other than AVF pain.

5. Patient having known allergy to lidocaine and prilocaine.
