•1. CKD patients above 18years undergoing hemodialysis via AVF at Nehru Hospital.
•2. Patients with matured AVF in their forearm.
•3. Patient Willing to participate.

•1. Contraindications to cold application such as radiation therapy, peripheral vascular disease, connective tissue disorders, diabetic neuropathy.
•2. Patient with altered level of consciousness
•3. Patient on concomititant use of analgesics within 4-6 hrs prior to hemodialysis.
•4. Patient who have pain from other reasons other than AVF pain.
•5. Patient having known allergy to lidocaine and prilocaine.
