This randomized clinical trial compares the effectiveness of chlorhexidine mouthwash with and without bioflavonoids when used alongside non-surgical periodontal therapy (NSPT). The study aims to determine whether adding bioflavonoids enhances the therapeutic benefits of chlorhexidine in improving periodontal health which is meassured using gingival index, plaque index,pocket probing depth,bleeding index

入选标准

•1 Willingness to comply with the study protocol.
•2 Participants who were diagnosed with chronic generalized periodontitis.
•3 No periodontal therapy rendered within the previous 12 months.
•4 Participants with age group of 18 to 45yrs for either sex.
•5 Presence of more than 10 natural teeth 6 Non-smokers or light smokers 5 cigarettes per day 7 At least two sites with probing depth greater than 5 mm.

排除标准

•1 Participants suffering from any systemic diseases 2 History of head and neck radiotherapy 3 Pregnancy or breastfeeding 4 Known allergy to chlorhexidine and bioflavonoids 5 Participants who had received any antibiotic therapy in past 6months.
