American Society of Anesthesiologists status II women of child bearing age below 40 years, BMI less than 40, height between 150-180 cm, nonlaboring, at term with singleton uncomplicated pregnancies with no gross comorbidities, with longitudinal lie scheduled for elective caesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia
1. Patient refusal
2. Women with obstetric conditions that may affect the severity of Aorto Caval Compession, such as transverse lie, fetal macrosomia, uterine abnormalities (e.g., large fibroids, bicornuate uterus) and polyhydramnios
3. Women with a hypertensive disorder or any condition associated with autonomic neuropathy (e.g., diabetes mellitus for more than 10 yr), with renal failure, or currently smoking or with illicit drug use.
4. Those with kyphosis and scoliosis

Name Time Method To find out any difference in maternal hemodynamics like hypotension and/or bradycardiaTimepoint: Readings were taken every 1 minute upto delivery of baby and every 3 minutes after that till end of surgery.

Name Time Method to find any difference in umbilical cord pH base excess in 2 groups,total dose of phenylephrine,incidence of nausea and vomiting and total fluid administered.Timepoint: Readings were taken every 1 minute till delivery of baby and every 3 minutes after delivery.
