Inclusion Criteria

Children posted for all major surgeries under balanced anesthesia for which blood or/and blood products will be arranged. A minimum of 250 such children will be included.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Parental refusal to participate in study.

2. Surgeries under local/regional anesthesia.

1. To determine the transfusion-triggering hemoglobin threshold level in the study participants. <br/ ><br>2. To identify the impact of peri-operative blood transfusion and various factors (patient, anesthesia, surgical) on post-operative morbidity (defined as per ACS-NSQIP Convention, hypotension, thrombocytopenia, electrolyte abnormality, hypoglycemia, seizure, active bleed or anastomotic leak) and mortality.Timepoint: 1. Intraoperative (just before starting PRBC). <br/ ><br>2. upto 30 days.
