4. Presenting problem are symptoms of an anxiety disorder or depressive disorder

Exclusion Criteria

1. Presenting problem not anxiety or depression
2. Receiving psychological therapy for target symptoms at same time as the present trial

Primary Outcome Measures

Severity of psychological distress is measured by the Kessler 10-item (K-10) scale.[ Administered at assessment (when participants initially apply to join a course), pre-intervention (immediately prior to the course), post-intervention, and at 3-months post-intervention. The pre-intervention time-point may occur up several days or weeks after the assessment time-point.<br>];Symptoms and severity of depression is measured by the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9).[ Administered at assessment, pre-intervention, at the beginning of each week of the Course, post-intervention, and at 3-months post-intervention.];Symptoms of anxiety are measured by the Generalised Anxiety Disorder 7 Item Scale (GAD-7).[ Administered at assessment, pre-intervention, post-intervention, and at 3-months post-intervention.]
