Brief Summary

The study is a quasi experimental ,single centre trail comparing the aerobic exercises and standard medication among 80 patients diagnosed with depression. the primary outcome measures are the depressive symptoms,anxiety,self esteem and quality of life improves the 5 months and sustains long time.

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1.adults with depression attending outpatient services at selected psychiatric hospitals Raipur 2.Patients speaks English and Hindi 3.Patients who are present at the time of data collection 4.Patients who are willing to participate in the study 5.Both male and female patients.
  • 6.Patients who receives the same treatment regimen.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1.Patients unable to perform physical activity due medical problems.
  • 2.Patients who are already practicing aerobic exercises.

Outcomes

Primary Outcomes

decrease the depressive symptoms, anxiety,and improves self-esteem and quality of life.

Time Frame: 5 months

Secondary Outcomes

  • Depressive patients reduce the depression,anxiety and improves the self esteem, quality of life.(5 months)
