To study if vitamin D supplementation in vitamin D deficient patients of rheumatoid arthritis impproves vascular function in them. Vascular function predicts risk of cardiovascular diseases in them and will be measured by flow mediated dilation of brachial artery.

- Health Condition 1: null- Patients of rheumatoid arthritis, those who are either in remission or have low disease activity and are vitamin D deficient shall be recruited for the study

Inclusion Criteria
1.Age more than 18 years and up to 70 years
2.Vitamin D deficient [serum 25(OH) D levels < 20 ng/mL]
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients with high disease activity as defined by CDAI >22.
2.Patients with Diabetes mellitus.
3.Presence of Heart failure[NYHA Class 3 and 4]
4.Recent adverse CVD events[CAD/ACS/CVA within 1 month]
5. Subjects with known malignancies
6.Active smokers
7.Patients with hypercalcemia [>=10.5 mg/dL]
8.Patients who have taken vitamin D in therapeutic doses within 30 days of start of study period.
