简要总结
Osteoarthritis of the knee is a common degenerative joint disorder causing pain, stiffness, and functional limitation, especially in individuals above 40 years of age. Conventional treatments provide symptomatic relief but are associated with adverse effects on long-term use. This observational clinical study aims to assess the effectiveness of individualised homoeopathic medicines in pain management of knee osteoarthritis using the Oxford Knee Score (OKS).
A total of 30 patients with radiologically confirmed grade I–III osteoarthritis of the knee will be enrolled through purposive sampling from the OPD, IPD, and outreach camps of JIMS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital. Individualised homoeopathic treatment will be prescribed based on totality of symptoms, along with physiotherapy. The Oxford Knee Score will be assessed at baseline and during follow-up over six months. Statistical analysis will be done to evaluate changes in pain and functional status.
