1) Painful menstruations for atleast three consecutive cycles with regular menstrual cycles having normal bleeding phases (21-35 is the normal menstrual cycle)
2) Not associated with any organic reproductive system abnormalities (excluded clinically and radiologically)
1) Cases of secondary dysmenorrhoea
2) Abdominal pain associated with excessive vaginal bleeding
3) Associated with leiomyoma of uterus
4) Ovarian cysts endometriosis (radiologically conformed USG (ultra sonography))
5) Associated with pelvic inflammatory diseases (PID Hydrosalpinx)
6) Associated with any serious systemic disorders likely to influenze menstrual cycles
7) History of malignancy of pelvic organs
8) History of hypo and hyper thyroidism
9) Women using an IUD/oral contraceptive pills (OCP)
10) Diabetes mellitus
11) Hypertension
