1. Adult patients (age: 18-25 years) requiring orthodontic treatment with extraction of both maxillary first premolars (i.e. Class I bimaxillary dentoalveolar protrusion or Class II division 1 malocclusion).
2. Adequate inter-radicular distance for between the maxillary first permanent molar and second premolar for the insertion of mini-screws.
3. Good gingival and periodontal health.
4. Permanent dentition in both maxilla and mandible with or without the third molars.
1.Long term use of antibiotics, phenytoin, cyclosporine, anti-inflammatory drugs and calcium channel blockers
2.Poor oral hygiene for more than two visits
3.Systemic disease
4.Smoking
5. Pregnancy
6. Syndromic patients
7. Craniofacial deformities.
8. Previous history of orthodontic treatment.
