1. Age: 30 to 65 years
2. Patients with chronic periodontal abscess and type-II diabetes mellitus with HB1Ac levels < 8% (Periodontitis stage II,III,IV and Grade B and C according to 2017 classification)
1. Acute abscess
2. Other Systemic disorders
3. Type-I Diabetes Mellitus
4. Teeth with mobility
5. Developmental disturbances
6. Endodontically involved teeth
7. Pregnant and lactating females
8. Long term steroid medication
9. Smokers
10. Immunocompromised individuals and
11. Those with history of antibiotic or periodontal therapy in preceding 6 months
