Inclusion Criteria

Patients of either sex, aged between 2 months to 2 years, ASA status 3 / 4, either requiring mechanical ventilation for cardiac surgery in operation theatre or post-operative recovery area.

Exclusion Criteria

Patients with evidence of nasal, pharyngeal, esophageal, or gastric disease, extreme hemodynamic instability, maxillofacial trauma, post endoscopic skull base surgery or any contraindication for nasal placement of NG tube.
