Eligibility Criteria

Ages
18 to 99 (—)

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1. Short-lasting symptomatic paroxysmal or persistent AF
  • •2. Rhythm control strategy is preferred
  • •3. No contra-indication for oral anticoagulation
  • •4. Age > 18 years

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1. Total history of heart failure and/ or of severe valvular disease > 3 years
  • •2. Severe valvular disease
  • •3. Acute coronary syndrome/ myocardial infarction/ percutaneous coronary intervention/ coronary artery bypass
  • •surgery within the past one month
  • •4. Post-operative AF
