hospitalization; dignosis of paroxysmal or persistent Atrial Fibrillation; residence within a geographical area around Bad Krozingen reachable by car in 25 minutes; able to read, write and understand German
cognitive (e.g. dementia) or physical impairments of both hands (e.g. peripheral polyneuropathy); condition after AV nodal ablation and implanted pacemaker; life expectancy less than two months according to the physician; individuals that already took part in any comparable education program
