Inclusion Criteria
Patients of either sex and all ages
-Patients who are clinically diagnosed with acanthosis nigricans attending Dermatology OPD at Bharati hospital
Exclusion Criteria
-Patients with previously diagnosed type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus
-Patients with known endocrinopathies and those with skin disorders known to be associated with Metabolic Syndrome (psoriasis, lichen planus, polycystic ovarian syndrome) will not be included in the study
-Patients who are pregnant or lactating
