Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
- •\- Age \> 18 years \< 70 years
- •\- Deep sedation (RASS score \-4/\-5\)
- •\- Arterial blood pressure measurement for clinical indication
- •\- Central venous catheter for clinical indication
- •\- ECMO blood flow of only 2 liters required for gas exchange
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- Age \< 18 years \> 70 years
- •\- Lack of consent
- •\- Renal artery stenosis
- •\- Known liver disease (e.g. cirrhosis, chronic hepatitis)
- •\- Portal hypertension
- •\- Increased intra\-abdominal pressure
- •\- Post\-nephrectomy/splenectomy/liver surgery (excluding cholecystectomy)
- •\- Impaired renal function (eGFR \< 60 ml/min/1\.73m3\)
