•Undergoing elective cardiac surgical procedure under general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation
•Informed written consent

Exclusion Criteria

•Modified Mallampati class 3 or 4
•Morbid obesity
•patients with critical preoperative state (ventilated, cardiogenic shock, inotropic support, intra\-aortic balloon pump
