Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • Pediatric patients belonging to the group of ASA I/II and in the age group of 3\-8 years scheduled to undergo elective surgeries under General anesthesia

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Patients undergoing emergency surgeries.
  • 2\.Patients whose parents or legal guardians refuse to provide consent.
  • 3\.Patients with known or unanticipated difficult airway.
  • 4\.Patients with known allergy to dexmedetomidine.
  • 5\.Patients having preoperative hemodynamic instability such as shock.
