We included newborn babies who were born from January 1, 2005, to December 31, 2019.
We excluded babies with the following conditions First, we excluded babies who had genetic diseases or syndromes that predispose patients to have cancers. The presence of the genetic diseases or syndromes was determined using the diagnosis codes within the follow-up period. Second, we excluded babies whose mothers undertook any other CT examinations including head and chest CT. Although the estimated radiation dose of those CT examinations would be minimal to the fetus, we assumed that any condition the mothers undertook the CT examinations might influence the fetus beneficially or harmfully. Third, we excluded babies whose mother diagnosed cancers before the pregnancy.
