Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Age between 60 to 80 years,
  • •2\.An open surgical approach,
  • •3\.ASA I and ASA II patients,
  • •4\.Minimum educational qualification up to V standard,
  • •5\.Duration of surgery of more than two hours,
  • •6\.Can be either males or females.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Refusal to consent.
  • •2\.History of alcohol abuse, chronic opiod or other substance abuse.
  • •3\.History of cerebral surgeries, stroke.
  • •4\.History of diagnosis of schizophrenia, dementia, anxiety or other disorder affecting cognition, mental dysfunction.
  • •5\.Any electrolyte imbalance.
  • •6\.Any active infection or disease associated with inflammation.
