1.Age between 60 to 80 years,
2.An open surgical approach,
3.ASA I and ASA II patients,
4.Minimum educational qualification up to V standard,
5.Duration of surgery of more than two hours,
6.Can be either males or females.
1.Refusal to consent.
2.History of alcohol abuse, chronic opiod or other substance abuse.
3.History of cerebral surgeries, stroke.
4.History of diagnosis of schizophrenia, dementia, anxiety or other disorder affecting cognition, mental dysfunction.
5.Any electrolyte imbalance.
6.Any active infection or disease associated with inflammation.
