Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patients with Type 2 Diabetes mellitus more than eighteen years old with Body Mass Index more than 23 kg/sq.meter.
  • •2\. Glycosylated haemoglobin (HbA1c) less than 9%.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patients having or had coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular accident, eGFR less than 60ml/min, liver transaminases(AST and ALT) more than two times the upper limit of normal.
  • •2\.Those with history of or presently having gall stone disease.
  • •3\.Those with other general medical illness.
  • •4\.Currently on or immediately requiring insulin treatment.
