入选标准
- •Group I: Periodontally healthy subjects with no signs of periodontal disease and smoking.
- •Group II: Current Smokers with untreated stage III periodontitis, PPD >= 6 mm and CAL >= 5mm.
- •Group III: Non-smokers with untreated stage III periodontitis, PPD >= 6mm and CAL >= 5mm.
排除标准
- •1. Patients with self-reported psychiatric disorders or on anti-psychotic medications.
- •2. Patients with any systemic disease.
- •3. Pregnant and post-menopausal women.
- •4. Patients with history of antibiotic intake within 6 weeks.
- •5. Patients undergoing corticosteroids or immune-suppressive therapy.
- •6. Patients with symptoms of acute illness.
