It is epidemiological, cross-sectional study to assess prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS) in the cisgender-heterosexual, cisgender-sexual minority, transgender-heterosexual, and transgender-sexual minority subjects.

To determine and compare the prevalence of the MetS in the cisgender-heterosexual, cisgender-sexual minority, transgender-heterosexual and transgender-sexual minority subjects and to assess the prevalence of prediabetes, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, dyslipidemia, coronary artery disease and impact of dietary habits and lifestyle on individual components of MetS,  insulin sensitivity/resistance and emotional quotient (EQ) in each subject.

入选标准

  • Individuals who are able and willing to give written informed consent
  • Individuals must be aged ≥18 years at the time of screening
  • Individuals who are willing to identify their gender identity and sexual orientation
  • Individuals who are willing and able to comply with scheduled visits, laboratory tests and other study procedures.

排除标准

  • Individuals who are unwilling to complete a survey
  • Individuals unwilling to follow the study requirements
  • Individuals who are on pharmacotherapy for individual components of MetS
  • Pregnant and lactating individuals.
