Inclusion Criteria

1)Primigravida and gravida 2 patients at term in labour

2)ASA I and ASAII

3)Maternal request for epidural analgesia

4)Age group 18-35 years

5)Women in active labour with cervical dilatation more than 2-3cm

Exclusion Criteria

1)patients with contraindication to neuraxial anesthesia

2)VAS scor <50mm during an active contraction

3)Parturients with gravida3 or more

4)Parturients with multiple gestations

5)Parturients with cephalopelvic disproportion

6)Parturients with history of previous LSCS

7)History of comorbid illness like hypertension,diabetes,severe anemia,bleeding disorders,CVS/RS diseases,psychiatric/neurological disorders

8)History of APH

10)BMI >50kg/m2
