Subjects aged 40-50 yrs
Subjects with a minimum complement of 20 teeth
Subjects will have to possess at least two non-adjacent sites on non-incisor / first molar teeth with probing pocket depths (PPDs) of >= 5 mm, that bleed upon probing (from the pocket base) and which demonstrates radiographic bone loss of >= 30%
Subjects who will be indicated for flap surgery
Subjects with any systemic disease
Subjects who have undergone any periodontal treatment in the last six months
Subjects who have received antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs or steroids in the past three months
Pregnant or lactating women
Subjects who are tobacco or alcohol users
Subjects who have taken Vitamin or mineral supplements or Anti-oxidants for the past three months
